Start with the good
If I'm at my lowest in life and feel out of track. I start with what I love doing. Things I'm good at. That comes natural to me. I don't feel the struggle, at least I love the grinding.
Searching for what I'm good at is an ongoing process. I find something interesting, try them out, and experience it first-hand. It gives me a taste about certain activities. For me, football was never my thing. I was not good at it and never became serious about it. Whereas, I always loved riding bicycle. I was good at it.
I reason I start with the good is it creates momentum and positive energy. And that energy effects other areas of your life. Also being conscious of whether those energies impact me in the long-term. Because people get energy by drinking and partying; that high energy lasts for a moment and next day they feel terrible. That high energy turns low. So I choose activities that produce good vibes and positively influence other areas of my life.
